Role and Responsibilities

Position Summary:

The Direct Retail Channel Sr. Manager will lead coordinated efforts among Sales, Marketing, Product Management, Operations, and Finance to created demand and drive revenue via the Direct Channel (retail and e-commerce). The Direct Retail Account Management team and other key internal stakeholders will work to develop and implement high impact Direct Retail Channel strategies, programs and promotions that drive to revenue targets working closely with various cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution.

Common Essential Duties And Responsibilities 

  • Plan, define and implement a strategy to penetrate Direct Retail channels with the ability to incrementally scale the businessDefine program positioning strategy, communication, and implementationLead highly visible Direct Retail programs. Define program value proposition that generate sales through: sales management, demand generation and promotions marketingDevelop quarterly plans and bottoms up volume and revenue forecasts that meet/exceed targets and objectivesCoordinate marketing efforts to drive targets including promotions, incentives and e-commerce engagementFacilitate the development of co-branding efforts across e-commerceStakeholder in the development of product launch Go to Market and communication strategiesPartner with a broad team of Marketing, Sales, Product Management and Training to ensure coordinated and integrated communication of program positioning and selling strategies are executed successfully within the Direct Retail channel

  • Develop relationships and a regular cadence with the customers Direct Retail Account Management team to influence and drive the performance of the channel, prepare a calendar of activity, uncover new opportunities, project manage initiatives and drive execution

  • Develop a relationship with client at all levels of management: device marketing, business management, channel management and executive management

  • Achieve quarterly sales volume, revenue, market share and gross profit targetsEnhance volume and profitability through discounting and promotional activity. Analyze forecasts and results, project and track ROI and incremental return. Perform post-mortem analysis to uncover best practices and learnings.Influence training (internal and external) on programTrack, Maintain and manage execution of program initiatives and agreement contractsManage budget spend and operations for proper approvals and allocationTrack and report channel and program results (scorecard maintenance and distribution)Manage key vendor relationshipsBackground/Experience

  •   BA in Marketing, Communications or related field highly preferred, advanced degree a plus.  

  • At least 10+ years of expereince in the development of sales management, account management, direct marketing strategies, or creative implementation processes

  • Proven track record of managing and delivering successful integrated demand/sales generation

  • Experience in developing successful activities that support strategic objectives

     

  • Proven results in driving and executing creative marketing and sales initiatives

  • Effective budget management, understanding of ROI with an ability to build and present business cases

  • Excellent project management skills, able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and create alternate solutions

  • Familiarity with distribution, supply chain management and retail sales environments

  • Skilled at working with cross functional teams and managing R&R and delegating actions

  • A mastery of verbal and written communication in EnglishNecessary Skills/Attributes The following skills and abilities must be demonstrated at a proficient level:

Operate a computer keyboard and view a video display terminal more than 50% of work time in an office work environment

Frequently works additional hours beyond normal schedule

Performs work under time schedules and stresses which are normally periodic or cyclical, including time sensitive job stress, fatigue, unpaid over-time, intellectual challenge, constant technical data feedback, language barriers, and project management stress

Machines, tools, equipment, and work aids include PCs, printers, etc. most often associated with office work area equipment.

Travel (international and domestic) to customer locations, other subsidiaries etc. approximately 25% of the time

Under minimal supervision with a high level of responsibility to apply general policies and guidelines where decisions are seldom monitored and consequences of decisions may adversely affect operating results and management decisions.  Position has complete access to confidential company data where disclosure may jeopardize the company’s competitive position.

Work is generally performed in an office environment. Operate a computer keyboard and view a video display terminal between 50% - 95% of work time, including prolonged periods of time. Requires considerable (90%+) work utilizing high visual acuity/detail, numeric/character distinction, and moderate hand/finger dexterity. The movement and transportation of equipment, most of the time is under 25 pounds. Performs work under time schedules and stress which are normally periodic or cyclical, including time sensitive deadlines, intellectual challenge, some language barriers, and project management deadlines. Machines, tools, equipment, and work aids include printers, copiers, faxes, and other equipment commonly associated with an office work area. May require working additional hours beyond normal schedule. Travel varies depending on position. Consistently demonstrates a commitment to policies and procedures, including but not limited to, attendance, confidentiality, conflict of interest, and ethical responsibilities.
