What will you deliver?
  • Influence a family of products in development to achieve their financial goals of revenue, gross margin, and return on investment
  • Partner with Dev, Marketing, and Supply Chain to optimize the product portfolio and our business to achieve our business goals
  • Deliver Long Range Plan (LRP) for a product family and use this planning tool to shape and influence key stakeholders

Responsibilities

  • Be the product finance leader for a designated product line.
  • Partner with the Engineering & Marketing organizations to support end-to-end product planning, profitability strategies and strategic decision making from a well-rounded business perspective.
  • Build robust financial models and decision support frameworks with key partners in engineering and marketing to optimize the profitability of the devices portfolio, guide product roadmap, model opportunities for improvement, develop standard offer assessment frameworks where appropriate to streamline new program offerings
  • Conduct financial analysis and statistical analysis to ensure business and financial success of new offerings from a unit, share, and profitability perspective
  • Present strategic options and analysis to senior level stakeholders including CVPs
  • Partner with other Devices finance teams to ensure appropriate landing of new offerings in overall finance ROB (reporting, target setting, budgeting, etc.)
  • Partner as appropriate with other businesses and finance teams, e.g. Windows and Office, to develop enterprise-wide device and service offerings

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of finance or planning experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, economics or related discipline, MBA preferred
  • Strong conceptual understanding and ability to articulate application of financial principles to this business space
  • Ability to think strategically and communicate effectively with all levels of management
  • Must be extremely collaborative and comfortable dealing with ambiguity, influencing across multiple complex organizations, creating effective internal business partnerships
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively translate financial analysis and insights into meaningful and actionable business communications and recommendations
  • Outstanding written & verbal communication skills and experience presenting to executives
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects, have excellent attention to detail, and work effectively under deadlines.
  • Ability to independently lead teams and execute on functional responsibilities with minimal guidance and oversight
