Sr. Finance Manager - Devices CAPEX - Microsoft

Our Business Partners are responsible for Microsoft’s growing Hardware Businesses including Surface, Xbox, HoloLens, Surface Hub, and PC peripherals. The environment is dynamic and innovative, where the finance team partners with Operations and Business Teams.The Devices Finance team is looking for a motivated Finance professional with enthusiasm to take on a high impact role as a Capital lead on optimizing our Program Capital Investments. The successful candidate will bring a combination of financial and accounting expertise, leadership and influence skills with our business partners on Capital spend, deliver financial analytics & reporting, as well as insight and perspective. The candidate must be comfortable with ad-hoc analysis and projects, continuous process improvements, modeling/power BI, implementing controls and driving impact.Our team is collaborative, supportive, and fun. Responsibilities

Build close partnership and dynamic tension with Operations and Finance partners on Surface Devices Portfolio capital needs starting at the early phase of product lifecycle; and participate/guide all key financial decisions for optimal results.
Partner with Operations for Production and Testing Equipment forecast, budget/target/long-range plan and reporting; drive cost savings opportunities and support capital strategies.
Improve efficiency and effectiveness of finance activities and reporting through automation and detailed analytics.
Drive improved business insights with development of metrics/scorecards or other financial measures, with a goal to help drive efficiencies across products
Ad-hoc capital projects and analysis

Qualifications

Knowledge of Hardware Industry, with Capital/Fixed Asset experience (Production and test equipment)
Great collaboration, teamwork and business partnership: Extremely important for the person in role to possess great collaboration skills, able to build network and communicate clearly.
This role requires a hands-on approach and the individual must be comfortable in rolling up his/her sleeves and diving in; detailed oriented
BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Math, or related degree; MBA or CPA preferred but not mandatory
Minimum 7-10 years of demonstrated work experience covering FP&A activities and capital.
Proficiency in MS Office - with advanced Excel skills & extensive experience using multiple formulas and pivot tables with strong ability to manipulate large volumes of data. Knowledge of Microsoft tools a plus (i.e. SAP, Mercury, BPC)
