Senior Accountant

Overview

• Responsible for financial accounting, financial reporting and operating activities – specializing in Order to Cash accounting activities

• Order to Cash accounting activities include settlement, cash, collateral, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and lease

• Analyst activities include preparing budgets and financial reports, conducting financial analyses, and making recommendations to Senior Management

• Leadership activities include oversite of our team processing order to cash accounting activities

• Process activities include oversight and controlling the accounting and business processes; ensure the accuracy and timely completion of all activities

Role

• Performs complex accounting activities (e.g., sub-ledger accounting and high level financial statements) in accordance with accounting principles and standards to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, laws and reporting requirements

• Responsible for oversight of the Order to Cash processing team, and managing the outputs of the team for both timeliness and accuracy

• Responsible for analyzing and exercising judgment on financial performance and complex issues

• Independently determines complexity of issues, escalates and makes recommendations to Leadership

• Assesses and implements process improvements

• Supports the Business Partner relationship and applies a client-service mentality towards all deliverables

• Supports SOX compliance and assisting with control improvements

• Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of accounting principles, financial statements and financial reporting requirements and consistently delivers accurate work on a timely basis

• Experience reviewing and analyzing work for appropriate accounting treatment

• Experience implementing and suggesting process improvements

• Experience performing complex issue resolution

• Experience executing controls and assessing their effectiveness; builds process improvement as needed

• Proactively builds relationships with Business Partners

• May produce and review internal and external reports with a moderate level of complexity to ensure compliance
