Sales Manager, Custom Install Channel Sales - Pacific Northwest Region - SAMSUNG

Position Summary

The Sales Manager will be responsible for managing and expanding direct selling relationship, and maximizing revenue attainment of Samsung Commercial and Consumer TV and AV products with assigned customer base of audio – video Custom Install (CI) dealers. This role will report to the Director of Sales, and lead account assignment business plan, which includes expanding account sell-through and growth strategy, sales promotion planning and execution, forecasting, and monthly business processes. The Sales Manager will be the established regional account lead in working with account purchasing and inventory management teams, and provide strategic inventory analysis, and business plan performance. The role’s major functions involve customer engagement, account planning, and driving business within the custom install channel in the assigned region to key independent CI dealers.

The candidate should possess relevant experience in consumer and/or Commercial/Enterprise AV products, AV dealer and distribution channels, and understanding of strategic sales collaboration with distribution organizations. Ideal candidates will have experience with an established CE brand, and understanding of AV solution sales channels in either or both the commercial or consumer channels. The candidate should demonstrate excellent interpersonal and client management skills, and be proficient in business management systems, along with MS Office products including Excel, PowerPoint and Word. This position may require working additional hours beyond normal schedule including 40% + travel for customer and industry trade events.

The ability to plan, organize and prioritize business development programs and achieve sales performance objectives within established time frames and requirements. Ability to make professional sales and business presentations in writing, through email, reports, or orally, including business and technical matters as needed, along with developing business relationships with both internal and external customers. The ideal candidate has established experience with sales management of CE brands and markets, dealer and/or distribution channels, and an understanding of AV solution sales.

Role and Responsibilities

Sales Management responsibility for assigned portfolio of CI dealers purchasing from authorized distribution. Responsibilities include maintaining the integrity of the EBD and CBD division strategies, implementation of sales and marketing programs and attaining the sales goals for the assigned segment.  The following is a list of responsibilities for the CI Sales manager role and is not meant to be exhaustive.

• Sale of CI Commercial and Consumer product lines to assigned customers within segment

• Monthly/annual sales plan achievement

• Daily customer contact; maintaining current and developing new opportunities

• Industry event participation

• Administration of sales orders

• Continuous business planning and forecasting for assigned customers

• Market and competitive intelligence reporting

• Monthly and rolling detailed segment analytics; TAM, sales results, forecasting

• Overall segment strategy implementation; execution of Samsung brand, sales and marketing goals

• Marketing program execution

• Support buying group(s) and dealer events

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred

• 6+ years commercial or consumer electronics account management, equivalent consumer or commercial electronics distributor management experience, or equivalent experience with a retail or custom install commercial or consumer electronics dealer

• Outstanding presentation and sales skills

• Strong data analytics, organizational skills, decision making abilities and timely follow-up

• Excellent communication skills; ability to communicate with people at all levels of an organization both internally and externally

• Internal: Distribution Account Managers, Product Managers, Marcom, Finance/Credit, Sales Administration, and Executive Management

• External: Customer level – Principle business owners, Sr. Buyers, Buyers, Credit contact, Logistics contact, Advertising contact, and Executive Management
