The Shift to Intelligent Hybrid Security

Advanced threats are multi-layered and borderless - and so are today's enterprises. These are among the factors pushing organizations to adopt the Intelligent Hybrid Security approach, says Anil Nandigam of NSFOCUS.

Nandigam, senior director of product marketing at NSFOCUS, says the old-school cybersecurity approach has proven to be futile, and many organizations - including the recently convened G20 Summit - are opting for the new approach because of the vulnerabilities that have been exposed by recent, high-profile attacks.

"The traditional defense-in-depth technologies that have been deployed, traditionally on premises, have no connection whatsoever to these ... cloud infrastructures that have been deployed," Nandigam says. "This is causing gaping holes where attackers can come in and move laterally either from on premises to the cloud, or vice-versa."

In an interview about the Intelligent Hybrid Security Approach, Nandigam discusses:

Macro trends that are forcing organizations to reconsider their cybersecurity strategies; How the Intelligent Hybrid Security Approach addresses current shortfalls; A high-profile example of the approach in action. See: How NSFOCUS Protected the G20 Summit.
