Being part of the RuPay On-The-Go series, the collectable wristband focuses on providing simplified access management during the events, whilst functioning as a convenient contactless payment device post-event.

With the new solution, RuPay aims to advance the abilities of contactless payments and meet the demands and requirements of modern, technologically-savvy consumers. By collaborating with TATA IPL, RuPay aims to improve this feature by offering cricket enthusiasts enhanced payment technology. The limited-edition wristband includes signatures from several cricket players, thus being a collectable device for individuals enjoying cricket. Furthermore, in addition to providing payment capabilities, the wristband supports access management for live events for select people attending the playoffs and finals, with individuals being able to leverage it for entry towards their stadium seats. After the event, the wristband can be a fully functional contactless payment device for secure transactions at retail outlets, food and beverage outlets, and metro travel across cities, among others.

Also, users can manage their transactions via an omnichannel payment platform app, which enables them to verify balances, add funds, and set or change PINs. Customers can also set up the wallet to automatically top up when it reaches a pre-set limit, which ensures that they do not run out of funds. The current move aims to advance event ticketing and payment solutions by delivering increased convenience and security. The integration of contactless payments and access management in a single device enables RuPay On-The-Go to work towards improving the live event experiences of individuals while advancing its development strategy.
