He concluded with a summary of current issues, including the debate over the Space Force and whether the United States should develop new offensive counterspace capabilities. Dr. Weeden was joined by Dr. Dean Cheng from the Heritage Foundation who gave a presentation on China's military space activities and Mr. Mike Markey from Lawrence Livermore National Lab who gave a presentation on options for U.S.-Japan collaboration on space security.
