BigCommerce, an e-commerce platform for more than 60,000 brands, said in a company press release that Venmo and Masterpass are now being supported as payment methods on the service.
BigCommerce merchants using Braintree technology can now offer multiple checkout options, including Venmo and PayPal Credit. If Venmo is enabled on a mobile device there is no need for an additional code by the merchant.

BigCommerce officials said that digital payment services like Venmo and Masterpass will help prevent cart abandonment by consumers who choose to shop via mobile devices. Data showed that 70 percent of them abandoned their carts when shopping online and 86 percent of them abandoned their carts when shopping on mobile.
