Supporting Innovation Around the World with the Braintree v.zero SDK

jane-pp1.jpegLast month, we launched our first product integration with Braintree -- the v.zero SDK -- giving businesses across the U.S. a new foundation for accepting payments with Braintree. Businesses that integrate with the v.zero SDK get access to slick buying experiences, Pay with PayPal, and soon, customizable drop-in UI features across platforms -- all with one 15-minute integration. But innovation can happen anywhere, and we want to support innovation everywhere. We know this because PayPal’s international business accounted for more than half of total revenue in 2013, and international transactions account for more than a third of Braintree’s authorized payment volume. So, today, we’re rolling out the Braintree v.zero SDK to customers around the world, beginning with Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Sweden and the UK. We’re starting the roll out of v.zero in these core markets, but will continue working to bring the v.zero SDK to Braintree customers globally.

Built with the future of payments in mind, the Braintree v.zero SDK gives businesses of all sizes a way to offer Pay with PayPal to their customers across platforms, without needing to do a separate integration. With the v.zero SDK, businesses around the world will get instant access to PayPal’s more than 152 million active global customers across 203 markets. People can pay with PayPal either on a one-time basis, or store their PayPal credentials for easy pre-approved future payments, without leaving the merchant’s site. With the Braintree v.zero SDK, developers around the world will soon be able to integrate a zero hassle drop-in checkout experience, and businesses with more specific needs can customize the checkout flow to reflect the particular look and feel they want.

We know that when supported with the right tools, innovation can happen anywhere. We’re excited to see what international developers and businesses build with the v.zero SDK. You can find out more details about the Braintree v.zero SDK here.
