Billhighway Raises Over $2,400 for Make-A-Wish Southern Nevada

Company leverages Give mobile fundraising application to collect donations

October 23, 2013: TROY, Mich. – Billhighway, creator of cloud-based automation software that simplifies finance and fundraising operations, is thrilled to announce the results of its in-booth fundraiser at the Money2020 Conference held at the Aria Resort in Las Vegas, October 6-10, 2013. Donations totaled $2,412 and can be attributed to:

• $1,412 from conference attendees
• $500 from the Money2020 team
• $500 from the Billhighway team

100% of funds raised will go to Make-A-Wish Southern Nevada to help Isaac, a 3 ½ year old boy who suffers from Langerhans cell histiocytosis, realize his dream of visiting Lightning McQueen at Disneyland. Make-A-Wish grants a wish, on average, every 38 minutes to a child with a life threatening or terminal illness.

“We’ve found that wish fulfillment empowers children to fight harder against their illnesses, and we’re thrilled Billhighway chose to fundraise at the Money2020 conference on our behalf,” said Shelly Batten, Development and Special Events Manager at Make-A-Wish Southern Nevada. “The money raised will not only provide a great experience for Isaac and his family, it will improve his quality of life.”

Billhighway leveraged social media throughout the four-day fundraiser, sharing progress against its goal of raising $2,020. The company received the following tweet from Make-A-Wish Southern Nevada once the final numbers were in:

Donations were processed using Billhighway Give, a mobile fundraising application that provides a better way to collect funds at events. Attendees were encouraged to use their $5 prepaid card provided by The Bancorp at show check-in to donate. Give is part of Billhighway’s Enterprise financial management system that provides payment processing, online banking and accounting to nonprofit organizations.

Billhighway awarded randomly chosen donor, Terry Allen-Rouman, $500 to help fulfill his own wish, and will donate $500 to Make-A-Wish Southern Nevada in his name. Allen-Rouman plans to donate his winnings to Larkin Street Youth Services, a nonprofit serving homeless youth in San Francisco, California.
