Personal information of 1,300 international students at Brigham Young University, Provo, Utah, has been accidentally released by email. Personal information of 1,300 international students at Brigham Young University, Provo, Utah, has been accidentally released by email. The information included the students’ names, email addresses, phone numbers and student ID numbers and was sent to each of the 1,300 students advising them of a career workshop.

Karen Evans, coordinator of the University Advisement Center, said students were notified as soon as the error was made. “We are extremely apologetic. We realize it shouldn’t have happened and we have done everything to prevent it from happening in the future,” she said.
