PANELISTS Uzma Makhdumi Head of Payments Partnerships at Google Uzma Makhdumi is currently Head of Payments Partnerships at Google where she has helped take Google Pay international and now leads new business development initiatives for consumer payments globally working with banks, payment networks and fin tech companies. Prior to Google, Uzma was leading commercialization for Visa Digital and was also one of the early Product Managers for Mobile at Yahoo! where she managed their first revenue generating mobile product. She has also been a consultant at McKinsey advising high tech companies in the areas of strategy, growth and acquisition, and was an engineer at Bose Corporation working directly for the founder/CEO, Dr. Amar Bose. She double-majored in Electrical Engineering & Computer Science, and Management Science from MIT and holds an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business. Lara Druyan Managing Director at RBC Lara Druyan is a Managing Director at RBC where she is the Head of Innovation on the West Coast, responsible for the Bank’s transformation through the smart use of technology. She leads the evaluation of start-ups, partnerships and venture capital investments that drive the Bank’s technology, analytics, payments and infrastructure roadmaps. She has initiated and managed over a dozen proofs of concept across the Bank. Lara has also designed a partnership strategy to build out the Bank’s ecosystem with high growth companies. Annelies Jansen Global Director Marketplace Partnerships with Facebook Her career has taken her to numerous countries, cultures and companies, throughout which digital growth and transformation was the key theme. Annelies was CEO of Findmypast.com till September 2016 and from 2008 till 20113 she was CEO of SUP.com, Russia’s leading digital publisher Annelies came to SUP from ITV, the UK’s #1 commercial broadcaster, where she was Managing Director of ITV Broadband. At ITV she oversaw the launch of ITV.com in May 2007. From 2000-2005 Annelies worked for News International as Director of Digital in charge of The Times online sites, followed by a position as director of New Media for The Telegraph group. Her previous roles before joining News International have included publisher of The Moscow Times, St Petersburg Times, Russia Business Review. Before joining the media industry she worked for Johnson and Johnson in Russia, managing two of their medical devices businesses (Livescan and Cordis). Teri Llach CMO at Krome Photos Teri Llach is a brand marketing executive with significant experience across a number of industries such as fin-tech, packaged goods, software and SAAS. She was co-founder and CMO of Blackhawk Network, where she helped grow Blackhawk to a $2B market cap public company that recently went private. At Blackhawk, Teri built brand and consumer marketing strategy, product marketing, research, corporate communications and media strategy. Currently, she is CMO of Krome Photos and is leading startups in their brand and marketing strategy. Teri grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area, enjoys painting, skiing and wakeboarding. MODERATOR Robin Leidenthal Vice President, Merchant Sales and Solutions at Visa Robin Leidenthal is a leader in the payments industry with over 20 years of banking and financial technology experience. Robin has led large, dispersed teams of payment and compliance policy, operations, sales and service professionals. Robin has global expansion experience, having managed large international teams and building global partner relationships in the EU and UK. Robin's diverse experience from large banks to early, disruptive payments start-ups and established fintech companies such as PayPal and Intuit, provide for a unique approach to enabling new and traditional acceptance models. Robin is presently the Head of US Acquirer Processor Sales for Visa, managing a team of Senior Account Executives responsible for business development and relationship engagement. Robin has served as a Board Advisor to the Merchant Acquirer Committee (MAC), various ETA Committees and is a member of Visa’s Women’s Network (VWN), Watermark and Wnet.org. |
