France’s market regulator, the AMF, launched a consultation in December 2017 to gather the inputs from all players - from institutional investors to up-and-coming startups. While it is still uncertain how the regulatory landscape will evolve and how it will be influenced by the self-proclaimed “start up nation” ambitions, we will discuss with key players on the French market how they see the future of ICOs going forward

SPEAKERS Claude-Étienne Armingaud Partner at K&L Gates Claude-Etienne Armingaud CIPP/E is a partner in the Paris office of global lawfirm K&L Gates, with an emphasis on innovation. His practice relies on extensive experience in understanding technological and structural processes, in order to advise clients active in the digital industries, with a particular interest in innovative services such as Fintech and blockchain-based services, connected cars and automotive sector, data optimization and valuation, notably in the IoT sector. With a strong expertise in European data protection and the upcoming General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”), he has notably been involved in the connected car ecosystem, on R&D projects relating to experimentation of autonomous cars, partnership agreements for the development of in-car connected services and the assistance of value-added service startups for the negotiation of the CNIL/French Data Protection Authority’s compliance package for the connected car. He also mentors startup companies within the framework of Plug And Play Fintech Accelerator in Paris with BNP Paribas. Guillaume Bonneton Partner at GP Bullhound Advisor and investor to the tech economy, Guillaume is a renowned investment banker, an expert in M&A and private placements for technology businesses in Europe. Over the years he has applied his passion for deal-making to exciting and amazing businesses such as: Believe Digital, Campadre, Dailymotion, Easyvoyage, Ecovadis, Hyves, Kelkoo, LBi, Liberty Surf, Love Home Swap, Marco & Vasco, Prodigy Finance, Ratepay, Seren, Unanimis, VNU, Yahoo! and Zoover. Guillaume started his career at The Boston Consulting Group, and moved to investment banking after his MBA at INSEAD. He has since worked for Deutsche Bank, LongAcre and Jefferies International.
