EMV Concepts and Fraud Mitigation Features
This session of the class will focus on EMV Readiness issues.  Specific topics covered will include the reasons for implementing EMV; types of fraudulent transactions can EMV detect, reduce or eliminate; and the features that are used within the EMV structure that provide for the reduction of fraud.  A live EMV transaction will be demonstrated to illustrate, at a high level, the components of an EMV transaction. 

 EMV Migration Projects
The afternoon class will focus on EMV migration issues and management of an EMV migration project.  Topics discussed include identification of the main issues to be considered when starting any EMV migration project; what issues might be encountered with certification of ATMs; and what changes will require a re-certification.  In addition, learn which components within the ATM (both hardware and software) provide EMV functionality.   A live EMV transaction will also be demonstrated during this session, but examined with a high level of detail than in the morning class.
