The BayPay Forum Expands Footprint to Fourth U.S. City

Redwood Shores, CA and Atlanta, GA, March20, 2015. The BayPay Forum, one of the worlds largest innovation and education networking organizations for the payment and ecommerce industries, today announced they have opened their newest U.S. chapter in Atlanta. BayPay has over 10,000 members in the U.S. and Europe.

“We have an extremely large group of payment executives and organizations in the Atlanta area,” notes Andrew Morris, SVP, Head of Content, Money 20/20 and one of the chapter’s founding members. “We want to bring people together to share their experiences, expertise and interests in this space. The BayPay model and the support the international organization can provide, coupled with the local demand, will help this chapter grow swiftly.” Additional chapter founders include: David Abouchar, Senior Director of Corporate Development for ControlScan; Thad Peterson, Senior Analyst for the AITE Group; and Philip Andreae, Vice President, Field Marketing - Payments NA Oberthur technologies. The chapter will be conducting regular presentations on key issues as well as social mixers. The first meeting will be a social mixer from 6PM to 8PM, Tuesday, March 24, in the offices of Bryan Cave, One Atlantic Center, Fourteenth Floor, 1201 W. Peachtree Street.

BayPay seeks out potential chapters from groups of executives who are looking to duplicate the Forum’s successful model in Silicon Valley, San Francisco, and Los Angeles. The chapters meet monthly with social as well as professional events. Chapter panels are designed to bring together speakers from government, business, and regulatory organizations throughout Europe and the U.S., as well as the local markets.

“Our mission is to connect executives, startups, and businesses, with ideas and opportunities in the payment and ecommerce industries,” explains Daniel Chatelain, Managing Director at the Bay Pay Forum. “While the breadth of our outreach is based online, there is no substitute for meeting in person. We are committed to opening more chapters in cities where there are large contingents of executives looking to benefit from face-to-face networking and local events. It is the way we started BayPay in Silicon Valley and it is still the backbone of the organization.
