Dec. 6, 2018

Rambus Inc., a Sunnyvale, Calif.-based payment technology firm, has announced an agreement with Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam to use its Rambus Token Service Provider as part of its mobile strategy, according to a company release.

The Rambus TSP is designed to help secure the BIBD Nexgen mobile banking app, which will allow customers to digitize their accounts and send secure payments, without revealing sensitive card data.

The platform replaces actual card numbers and other critical information with unique reference numbers, which reduces the chance of fraud.

"This collaboration reinforces our leadership in mobile payment and tokenization technologies," said Chakib Bouda, vice president and CTO at Rambus, in the release.

Dec. 5, 2018

AirPlus International and corporate travel platform Pana are developing a mobile payment platform for companies to manage and pay for non-employee business travel, according to a company press release.

Pana provides a booking tool and chat platform that allows non-employees to book hotels, flights and rental cars through an app. After every booking, an AirPlus virtual payment card is created and submitted to the travel supplier for payment, according to the release.

The tools allow all major travel expenses to be centrally billed, negating the need for non-employees to lay out expenses up front or need reimbursement. Pana also has a concierge tool that offers flight upgrades and dining options and provides mobile receipt uploads for meal expenses, according to the release.

About 51,000 corporate clients use AirPlus International.

Shake Shack announced the launch of its redesigned mobile app, which will allow customers across the country to place faster mobile orders for their food and drinks, and support integrated Venmo and Apple Pay.
