Senior Finance Manager - Gaming HW - Microsoft

The Gaming Finance team is looking for a dedicated, energetic individual with excellent financial analysis skills and business acumen to join the Gaming HW Finance team. This team is responsible for all financial aspects of the gaming HW business including long term product planning as well as short term execution. This role is focused on driving the right analytics that enable decision making for the HW business (forecasting, inventory planning, product lifecycle management, pricing)

Responsibilities

  • Conduct analysis to help support new business initiatives and establish new business models incorporating insights on market demand, pricing and gross margin
  • Manage the RoB process for the HW finance team, including month end close, forecast cycles, budgeting and long range planning
  • Develop robust driver based forecast models that can be leveraged for the quarterly forecast cycle along with long range planning and budgeting processes
  • Build out leading indicators across the HW business to provide early insight into the health of the overall business including market share trends, channel inventory, attach rates, and weekly run rates across the various geographies we do business in and articulate those findings to finance and business leadership
  • Partner with the cash flow team and drive improvements across gaming HW
  • Develop driver based models for Monthly Active Devices and manage the RoB and scorecard for these metrics including partnering with both marketing and engineering and communicating insights to finance and business leadership

Qualifications

  • Driven, self-starter capable of effectively prioritizing and operating with a high degree of ambiguity in a fast-paced and changing environment
  • Proven ability to partner, build trust, communicate with and influence senior executives; ability to make the complex simple and influence through effective story telling
  • Team player - must have the ability to manage across organizational boundaries, influence others and build on the work of others
  • Proficiency combining, structuring and mining large volumes of data from disparate sources
  • Expert Excel user familiar with advanced functions and charting capabilities
  • 6+ years of demonstrated work experience in financial analysis, ideally in the IT industry
  • BS/BA degree in Finance, Business Administration, Math, Economics or related discipline; MBA preferred
