Role and Responsibilities

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Analyze actual operating results and interpret data and presents results to management
  • Respond to budget related requests for financial data
  • Responsible for reconciling bank deposits and payments posted
  • Research payment reconciliation issues that arise from audits, exception reports or remittance changes
  • Generate required reporting to validate payments and resolve discrepancies and variances
  • Reconcile carrier commissions against in-store reporting to ensure timely and accurate payment
  • Responsible for finance/reporting, financial data analytics
  • Deliver reporting and analytics to a variety of key business stakeholders, utilizing appropriate data to effectively create actionable spending plans

Skills and Qualifications

Background & Competencies Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • 5-8 years of directly related experience is required; CPA a plus.
  • Prior experience in retail operations preferred
  • Must have accounting experience utilizing SAP  software
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of PC software applications experience  with solid Excel and PowerPoint skills.

Ability to advise sales staff to achieve customer sales objectives, team goals, and results within established time frames and requirements. The ability to develop specific sales and business plans and metrics, clearly define results to be achieved, make decisions, give direction, and measure individual/team performance and sales results. Skilled in developing and maintaining excellent working relationships with all appropriate levels within and outside the company to promote sales results. The ability to plan, organize, and prioritize multiple sales assignments and projects of own initiative The ability to read, interpret, and present sales documents, media materials, and contracts (or related information) to corporate legal and sales standards and philosophy. Demonstrated competency in persuasive communication skills using both oral and written modes for internal and external personnel at all management and staff organizational levels to obtain sales decisions to achieve sales quotas and to communicate technical information. Numerical accuracy (prices, product details, etc.) in all customer and internal communications where errors will result in crucial financial consequences to the company.

The ability to work independently and determine personal work schedule to be productive.

Ability to work in a team environment in order to achieve personal and team sales quotas and to complete assignments within established time frames. The ability to accept tasks and problems/situations that differ, requiring creativity to develop solutions to accomplish the desired goal. The ability to utilize implied knowledge of task alternatives and to make spontaneous decisions using past experience and the guidance and/of successful experiences of others. Interact with all levels within the organization and has frequent external contacts.

Physical/Mental Demands

Work is generally performed in an office environment. Operate a computer keyboard and view a video display terminal between 50% - 95% of work time, including prolonged periods of time. Requires considerable (90%+) work utilizing high visual acuity/detail, numeric/character distinction, and moderate hand/finger dexterity. The movement and transportation of equipment, most of the time is under 25 pounds. Performs work under time schedules and stress which are normally periodic or cyclical, including time sensitive deadlines, intellectual challenge, some language barriers, and project management deadlines. Machines, tools, equipment, and work aids include PC’s, printers, copiers, faxes,

and other equipment commonly associated with an office work area. May require working additional hours beyond normal schedule. Travel varies depending on position. Consistently demonstrates a commitment to policies and procedures, including but not limited to, attendance, confidentiality, conflict of interest, and ethical responsibilities.
