Position Summary:

Sony Corporation of America (SCA) is seeking a Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) Technical Architect to join the Marketing Technology group. This position will report to the Director, Marketing Technology. SFMC Technical Architect will play an important role in ensuring that the solution architecture aligns with the roadmap and that it adheres to the enterprise architecture principles. SFMC Architect has at least 8+ years of client facing experience working on the design and execution of data-driven marketing initiatives. Strong expertise in Marketing cloud and related experience in one of the followi modules: Sales Cloud, Service Cloud or commerce cloud is desired.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead architecture/design discussions across Sony Group companies and Design “to be” solution architectures to transform client businesses; develop work effort estimates for implementation and present these solutions to clients.,
  • Lead technology assessment of Salesforce tech stack, identify risks and recommend remedial measures
  • Responsible for designing data-driven marketing initiatives utilizing marketing cloud, performing activities such as audience selection, trigger qualification, suppressions, segmentation, building journeys etc.
  • In addition to relevant technology expertise, must be able to gather and translate business requirements into a technology solution and then implement that solution in an accurate, efficient and reliable manner
  • Candidate must be familiar with various data extraction/manipulation techniques such as select, filter, segment, merge-purge, joins, etc.
  • Strong aptitude to learn new tools and will be expected to become a power-user of all modules in marketing cloud mainly exact target, mobile studio, social studio, SF DMP
  • Support center of operational excellence. Along with SF operations manager, SFMC technical architect will help identify innovation opportunities across Sony Group Companies, provide operational support and best practices
  • Stay current with rapidly developing Salesforce ecosystem. Prototype and integrate tools into Sony’s Marketing Tech stack and lead adoption of tools

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent quantitative field with emphasis on programming required
  • Strong analysis skills including skills to rapidly learn new data assets
  • Technology skills required: Advanced SQL, Advanced Excel, HTML 5.0, Java Script
  • Experience and knowledge of Data Visualization tools such as Tableau preferred
  • Minimum of 6 yrs. of hands on experience in relational databases, data structures and querying
  • Minimum of 8 years of client facing experience, previous “Big 4” consulting experience preferred
  • SalesForce certifications preferred
  • Strong MS PowerPoint skills and ability to present to technical, business, and marketing audiences
  • Ability to work in matrix environment and to serve as individual and team contributor, leading projects and initiatives
  • Experience managing both internal and external partner relationships with strong influence management skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal, written/oral/listening communications and presentation/persuasion skills along with proactive approach to sharing knowledge with peers and cross functional teams
  • Highly organized and detail oriented
