The Sales Compensation Analyst will be responsible for daily operational processes of our variable compensation program. As sales compensation analyst, you will also work closely with other a high performing groups of experienced compensation administrators and analysts and drive strategic goals aimed at identifying operational inefficiencies and deploying solutions. Objectives for this role will include driving operational process improvements in compensation management, monthly and quarterly payouts, compensation plan administration, and improving the scale of our program tools. In addition to daily operations, this position will contribute to the strategy, design, policies, and guidelines of our sales commission program. This role requires working with global business owners in HR, Legal, Sales, Finance, Sales Operations and our Business Intelligence team to ensure the proper plan design, calculation, delivery and execution of sales commissions. Cross-team coordination, project management, and excellent communication skills are essential.
  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual calculations of sales compensation; validate and monitor payment of incentive compensation plan components and commissions.
  • Oversee, support and analyze incentive compensation plans for global sales organization that align with established financial and sales models.
  • Develop, maintain, and update sale compensation systems and processes critical to the reporting and tracking of sales compensation metrics.
  • Drive resolutions that will minimize/eliminate manual processes during the plan payout and administration.
  • Evaluate opportunities for deceased redundancy in processing in order to optimize the payout administration.
  • Develop and document procedures to streamline sales compensation systems processes and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain business partnerships with Finance, People Org, Legal, and Sales leadership to ensure alignment of incentive compensation plans with organizational, financial, and sales goals.
  • Work with Sales leadership, Sales Support, Sales Enablement and other leaders to educate on these processes.
Experience
  • 5 years experience developing, implementing or administering ICM/SPM sales incentive compensation programs and systems.
  • Extensive experience with ICM/SPM configuration, including workflows, validation rules, calculations and security controls.
  • Experience defining business requirements, writing user stories, and providing detailed SPM functional designs.
  • Experience in documenting current state business processes and system designs as well as making recommendations for future state improved processes and system designs.
  • Experience with the following platforms: Salesforce, ICM/SPM related tools, Tableau, Office Products
  • Self-motivated, self-directed with the ability to multi-task and work in a global, matrixed, dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and financial management & modeling experience
  • Excellent verbal communication and writing skills.
Basic Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years experience managing and administering delivery of payouts from successful sales incentive strategies with multiple levels across a diverse workforce.
  • 5 years recent experience in financial planning and analysis, sales operations, or commissions (sales incentive experience highly preferred)
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel and prior experience with data analysis, including the ability to develop and create dynamic tools for modeling and analyzing data.
  • A Bachelor’s degree is required in Business Management/Administration, Finance, Accounting or related fields.
