Citi Private Bank LFO team fosters the health of North America Private Bank by partnering closely with the various regions, products and functions to track performance metrics, provide finance support and analytical perspectives to help make critical strategic decisions. The team designs, implements and manages processes that support business needs.

This position will provide planning and analytical support for the seven North America GMMs (Global Market Managers) as well as the North America Banking, Investment Finance, Mortgage and Custody senior management teams. It will involve significant direct interactions with senior management requiring excellent organizational, communication and presentation skills. The candidate will be a sought out technical resource and contributor to critical decision making amongst business partners/product teams.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Reporting, planning, forecasting and analysis for all GMMs and balance sheet products, including investment finance lending, mortgages, banking and custody.

    • Monthly and ad-hoc strategic analysis of new business initiatives, working closely with the business areas and product groups.

    • Delivering reports that clearly communicate the financial performance of the business, design performance indicators and metrics that facilitate transparency and measure the effectiveness of sales and product teams to facilitate decision making.

    • Synchronizing the production of the annual budget in alignment with the strategy of the business; preparing quarterly forecasts and monthly P&L estimates.

    • Assembling all financial deliverables including monthly business commentary and analytics for product drivers of revenues.

    • Coordination and implementation the semi-annual CCAR process among multiple internal and external stakeholders.

    • Reviewing and analyzing financials during monthly close.

Qualifications

  • B.S. in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related discipline.  MBA strongly preferred.

  • 6+ years of relevant finance/business/accounting experience.  Knowledge of investment products strongly preferred

  • Highly motivated, participative team player with strong interpersonal skills.  Must have a balance of assertiveness and discretion to be a credible and sought after resource.  

  • Must have the confidence to stand up to pressure and the credibility to influence others.  

  • Requires flexibility to be effective and persuasive with all levels of management.  

  • Level-headed in a crisis.  

  • Ability to build key relationships with finance and other professionals.

  • Ability to influence people and empower team members to be proactive and focused on partnerships and results

  • Excellent PC skills with ability to design and maintain complex financial models and to drive high quality financial presentations
