Finance and Operations Intern - SONY

Job Description

Summary of Responsibilities:

The intern will handle the daily operational/financial support for CMSC and SCA Marketing, Fraudulent order review analysis for SonyRewards.com redemptions, Open Order Analysis, supports financial team (i.e.: Bank/Inventory reconciliations) and the following responsibilites:

Finance & Accounting: (Financial Reporting, Analysis, Financial Close Process)

  • Assist finance team with monthly journal entry preparation and various account analysis
     
  • Complete monthly bank and inventory reconciliations

Procurement: (PO Set Up, Invoice Payments)

  • Responsible to set up purchase order in SRM system and creating all goods received
     
  • Monitor actual expenses and track to the agreement/budget and highlight any concerns

Operations:

  • Redemption order review for fraudulent /gaming activities.  Review daily order files and delayed order queue for suspicious activities.  Work with operations, customer service and marketing to ensure controls are in place to minimize this activity 
     
  • Review and resolve SR customer service tickets relating to order inquiries, price changes, tax rates

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a 4 year college or university business program, preferably with a concentration in Finance
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Must have analytical and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) is required
  • Must be able to work a minimum of 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday
  • This is a paid internship
