Analyst / Senior Analyst - Personal Savings Marketing - American Express

American Express Personal Savings is an online direct bank that offers FDIC-insured High-Yield Savings Accounts and Certificates of Deposit directly to consumers. The business, which was launched in mid-2009, has rapidly grown to almost $45BN in direct deposits, and remains a key component of American Express’ strategy to develop stable, diversified sources of funding for the company’s businesses. The Personal Savings Marketing team oversees all brand, acquisition, and loyalty marketing across multiple channels.
The Analyst will manage the day-to-day execution and system submissions to support the marketing team, including marketing approvals, budget management, compliance, and tagging requests.  They will support all marketing channels, including paid search, display, paid social, direct mail, email, and internal channels.
Specific responsibilities include:
  • Partner closely with internal Personal Savings channel owners to execute marketing campaigns

  • Manage end-to-end creative execution for all channels, ensuring that all marketing materials are approved by relevant stakeholders and launched on time

  • Manage system submissions and requests for audience & targeting lists

  • Own marketing team budget responsibilities, managing campaign allocations, processing payments, and tracking spend by working closely with colleagues and Finance counterpart

  • Oversee the controls and compliance procedures for the team (PRSA), critical to managing and mitigating operational risk for Personal Savings

  • Partner with internal analytics team to manage quarterly forecasting process

  • Manage digital placement tag creation process and distribution of bi-weekly traffic sheets

  • Manage and submit all Marketing Review Board submissions

  • Support team with ad-hoc initiatives and special projects as needed

Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree with 0-3 years marketing experience

  • Passion for marketing, both digital and traditional channels

  • Strong project management and relationship management skills

  • Detail oriented and highly organized to ensure flawless execution

  • Team player with a positive attitude and ability to adjust to changing priorities

  • Strong written/oral communications skills (including Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint)
