This survey was conducted online in the summer 2017, and it generated more than 260 responses from security leaders around the globe, with emphasis on North America, EMEA, India and APAC. Responses were consistent from organizations in all regions and sectors, with little statistical deviation. Forty percent of the respondent organizations have 10,000 or more employees.

Prior to joining ISMG, Haran was first a reporter with TechTarget writing for SearchSecurity and SearchCIO; and later, correspondent with InformationWeek, where he covered enterprise technology-related topics for the CIO and IT practitioner.
Avinash Prasad

Prasad brings more than 13 years of security and risk management experience to Tata Communications where he heads the global practice and business area of managed security service. He has a multi-functional focus on customer management, practice and solution development, business development, innovation and partnership. Prior to this, Prasad has led the creation and building of security practices in the areas of managed security services and advanced security services in Wipro, followed by a role leading the information and cyber risk management practice for Infosys. Prasad has had hands-on experience in building integrated security solutions across infrastructure, application and process (GRC) stacks. He has extensive experience with working with leading security technology players while driving alliances & hosted security services for Wipro ESS. Prasad holds a B. Tech from IIT, Delhi and an MBA from XLRI, Jamshedpur.
