The Warsaw-based bank, operating under the mBank and MultiBank brands, is trialing an NFC-enabled attachment to the iPhone 4 and 4S for customers and employees.

NFC Times Take:

Yet another project with Wireless Fidelity’s iCarte attachment, which can NFC-enable the iPhone. The device, considered an NFC bridge technology, is used in South Korea, Turkey and Singapore, mainly in trials, with more planned. Poland, a contactless hotspot in Europe, will see rollouts with full NFC phones, likely in the first quarter of 2012.

* Trusted Service Manager: Defined loosely to include companies or other organizations securely distributing, provisioning and managing applications, generally over the air, on secure elements in NFC mobile phones; or licensing their platforms for this purpose.
