Graft virtual currency network sets first public test

Nov. 13, 2018

The Global Real-Time Authorizations and Funds Transfers project is planning a public alpha test of the network, which would allow real-time transactions over a decentralized payment network involving bitcoin and ethereum at the point of sale.

The network will allow a user to conduct business using a chosen digital asset and wallet and allow the merchant to settle the transaction in their chosen currency, including fiat. In September, Graft announced it completed its first instant real-time transfer on the network, taking less than two seconds, according to a press release.

"With functioning supernodes being put through the rigors, this project is ready for its next stage, which is opening the network and allowing the community at large to participate and test this newly developed, critical layer, two function [and] getting it ready for the Mainnet," Slava Gomzin, co-creator of Graft, said in the release.

Buyers are not charged for using the network and merchants are only required to pay a fee that is similar to credit card trasnaction fees.
