Apple Pay expands to Taco Bell, Jack in the Box

Jan. 23, 2019

Apple has added several partners to its Apple Pay service, including quick service chains Taco Bell and Jack in the Box, which means the mobile payment platform is now in 74 of the nation's top 100 merchants, according to a press release.

Apple Pay is rolling out to 7,000 Taco Bell and 2,200 Jack in the Box locations.

Apple Pay is also adding Speedway convenience stores, Hy-Vee supermarkets and Target, which is part of a larger rollout of mobile checkout at the department store chain. Customers will be able to use Apple Pay inside the store at 3,000 Speedway locations and 245 Hy-Vee stores.

"Whether customers are buying everyday household items, groceries, snacks for a road trip or grabbing a quick meal, Apple Pay is the easiest way to pay in stores, while also being secure and faster than using a credit or debit card at the register," said Jennifer Bailey, vice president of internet services at Apple, in the release.
