Mastercard Names Fabrizio Burlando as President of Prepaid Management Services

PURCHASE, N.Y, – September 21, 2017 – Mastercard today announced the appointment of Fabrizio Burlando as president of prepaid management services. In this role, he will lead the team that works with issuers and merchants to manage their prepaid programs and bring them to market within as quickly as three months.

Fabrizio Burlando brings a wealth of experience to help issuers and merchants maximize the impact of their prepaid programs into the future.”

Burlando joined Mastercard in 2008 and was most recently the European lead for Mastercard Advisors, focused on improving customers’ payment businesses – from strategy development to marketing planning and implementation.

Before joining Mastercard, Burlando worked for the Boston Consulting Group, where he led large projects in the financial and technology sectors across different functions such as strategy, operational effectiveness, and change management.

Burlando holds a Masters of Business Administration from INSEAD (Paris and Singapore), as well as a Masters of Bioelectronic Engineering from the University of Genoa. He will be based in the UK.
