Payments...the disrupters - The payment space is changing more quickly and in more directions than ever in history, and companies are emerging in Atlanta that are accelerating the pace. We will speak with Atlanta startups in payments and discuss the opportunities that they are creating and challenges that they face funding their efforts, staffing their teams, getting to market, and confronting the status quo.

If you are a startup or know an interesting startup in Atlanta, let us know and we will look into having you presenting and sharing your experience on our panel.

Shirish has experience in Payments, Loyalty, Manufacturing, Distribution/Logistics, Retail, Telecom, Financial, Travel, Energy, Home Builder, Construction, HR, Healthcare and Education Industry domains for companies like GE Energy, CVSCaremark, T-Mobile, Chase Paymentech, Compucredit, Randstad, Academy Sports, etc.

Shirish was CTO for a NewYork based startup to build ‘Loyalty and Mobile Payments Platform’ and most recently launched TrendBrew. TrendBrew is a social commerce platform connecting shoppers with influencers and retailers in the context of trending products, best offers and to drive revenue for retailers. TrendBrew is set out to realize online to offline product discovery and frictionless payments.

Head of the Atlanta Technology Development Center (ATDC) FinTech Accelerator

Michelangelo heads ATDC’s FinTech Accelerator, where he coaches 20+ Founders/CEOs of the most promising FinTech startups from early stage concept including entrepreneurial business strategy, raising capital, and scaling the business while screening out hundreds of others. Additionally, he leads all ATDC FinTech related efforts within the local and national communities and also manages all related ecosystem relationships including that of Worldpay US, the program sponsor.

Michelangelo has experience in entrepreneurship, product management, and strategy consulting experience within FinTech, mobile, Location Based Services (LBS), E-Commerce, and hardware. As an entrepreneur, he has been part of three startups: GoSpring (co-founder with successful exit), Veritas Product Group (founder), and AirSage (head of product). He also held product innovation roles at AT&T and First Data. He received an MBA from Georgia Tech, and Master and Bachelor degrees in Electrical Engineering from Mercer University.
